Frequently Asked Questions
What do you charge for web design?
Each job is different, so it’s difficult to set a single rate here on the website. That being said, we will always give a ballpark estimate upfront. We can help you, no matter how much, or how little you have to spend.
You may not get all the bells and whistles on a shoestring budget, but we can provide services that will maximize your results – regardless of how much you have available.
I need my project bumped to the front of your list ASAP – can you help?
Rush jobs are not usually a problem. You may catch us at the perfect moment when we can start work for you right away. It just depends on what the project is.
If you need an update done a new page created, we can usually accommodate your project.
However, if you woke up this morning and realized that you need to have a full website completed by 5pm… we may not be able to squeeze that into our schedule. Or a rush charge may apply.
Bottom line: we will do our best to fit you in, so please ask us.
What size companies will you work for?
All sizes! We have worked for Fortune 500 companies, start-up companies, and everything in between.
We also do a lot of work for individuals who need basic web services done by an expert, like first time bloggers who want a more professional look.
It doesn’t matter if you need business or personal design work done, we can help.
I already have something online – can you just add some professional magic?
We can take what you have already completed and just add that special touch that it’s missing. We can edit, update, and polish… or any combination of the three!
By the time we are finished, your site will shine! Not only that, but it will do exactly what you want and need it to do.
I don’t know what pages to have on my website. Can you help?
Not a problem!
Website page flow is so important to the success of your site, it’s crucial to have it laid out properly.
Who does all the work?
We are a two-man (ok, well – one man, one woman) tag team. We sometimes work together on projects, or alone if it doesn’t require any collaboration.
We never hire out the work. We do everything ourselves.
What if I don’t like what you come up with? Will you redo it?
Although this has never happened, we are big enough to admit that it might… someday… a long, long time from now!
In all seriousness, if you don’t like it, we will work together to make sure that your finished product is exactly what you want.
We want you do be satisfied with our work. Sometimes re-works are a necessary part of a project – simply due to the collaborative nature of discovering exactly what you want or need.
For flat-rate projects, a free edit is included in the price if needed.
What if I don’t know exactly what I want? Will you work with me to help me figure it all out?
Absolutely. But do keep in mind that this type of work is more along consulting lines than our basic design services.
Because of this, it is billed hourly.
We would love to discover your precise needs with you, and it is common for a single project to run $1,000+ as we pass it back and forth, and brainstorm.
When you think about how many people will see the project, for good or for bad, it’s really important to get it exactly right.
Do I need to pay a deposit? And do you take credit cards?
We collect 50% of the estimated total (or a retainer if ongoing) as a deposit. This is what gets you on our project calendar. For jobs $750 and under, we require pre-payment in full.
We do take credit cards online, so paying is easy.
Are your prices negotiable?
To some extent, yes. However, we do not price match.
The services we provide get results. We have many years of experience and know what it takes to be successful! We offer quality services at reasonable rates, and we get the job done quickly so that you can get down to business!
That can’t be said for everyone offering these same services. If you are looking at other less expensive option, keep that in mind.
How long do you take to do a project?
Most projects take one to three weeks to complete. Projects with a higher number of pages or special features could take months. And others might take a single afternoon.
We work quickly to make sure that all projects are completed in a timely manner. We will also keep you updated as much or as little as you would like! Some people like weekly updates, others just want it sent over when it’s finished.
Regardless of your style, you will not be twiddling your thumbs while we work! It will be done before you know it!
Who owns the website and any graphics you create?
After it’s paid for it’s all yours! We might ask for permission to use it as an example though.
So you make graphic and do Photoshop work?
Absolutely! It’s one of our favorite parts of the job!
What hours do you work?
Usually we work “standard office hours” – Monday through Friday, with weekends off.
We may check email on the weekends, but it’s not a given.
I like this FAQ – can you make me one?
Again, absolutely! Every website should have a killer FAQ page and we would love to write yours.
